The model and operating system (OS) of your smartphone will determine the functions that will be supported in the app. Both compatible and semi-compatible phones enable wireless upload of your pump/CGM data to the Tandem Cloud and display of the pump data on your phone (including alerts and alarms).
A Semi-compatible phone (supports Display and Data Upload only):
Your pump will continue to operate as programmed and your app will continue to display data. However, you will be unable to adjust insulin or program the pump with the Tandem Mobi mobile app. Always know your blood glucose prior to making therapy decisions.
A Compatible phone (supports Pump Control plus Display and Data Upload):
Adjusting insulin delivery and programming the pump from the mobile app is supported. You can use the app as a primary controller to request or cancel a bolus, start/stop insulin delivery, update pump settings and more.
WARNING
DO NOT use a phone that has been jailbroken or rooted. Data may become vulnerable if you install the Tandem Mobi mobile app on a phone that has been jailbroken, rooted, or uses an unreleased or pre-release operating system. Only download the Tandem Mobi mobile app on the App Store.
WARNING
ALWAYS confirm that an OS update is compatible with the Tandem Mobi mobile app before updating your OS. If you update to an incompatible OS, you will lose the ability to adjust insulin and program your pump with the Tandem Mobi mobile app. Your pump will continue to operate as programmed. You will need to pair your pump with a compatible smartphone to be able to control the pump from your phone.
- Go to Settings on your smartphone.
- Tap General.
- Tap About.
